Refund policy

At Mowers Direct, we want you to be confident when purchasing from us. This Returns & Refunds Policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Change of Mind Returns

Due to the size and nature of ride-on mowers and outdoor power equipment, change of mind returns are generally not accepted once an order has been dispatched or delivered.

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist where possible.

If a change of mind return is approved at our discretion:

  • The product must be unused, unassembled, and in original packaging

  • The return request must be made within 7 days of delivery

  • Return shipping or collection costs will be the customer’s responsibility

  • A restocking fee may apply

2. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your product arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

To assist with your claim, we may request:

  • Photos of the product and packaging

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

Once confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate resolution which may include:

  • Replacement of the product

  • Repair of the product

  • Refund where applicable

3. Warranty and Faulty Products

All products sold by Mowers Direct are covered by manufacturer warranties and the guarantees provided under Australian Consumer Law.

Under ACL, you are entitled to:

  • A repair, replacement, or refund for major faults

  • A repair or replacement for minor faults within a reasonable timeframe

A product may be considered to have a major failure if it:

  • Is significantly different from the description or sample

  • Is unsafe

  • Cannot be used for its normal purpose and cannot be fixed within a reasonable time

4. Return Process

To request a return or warranty assessment, please contact our team before sending any product back.

Our team will provide instructions on the appropriate return procedure.

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

5. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Processing may take 3–7 business days depending on your payment provider

Delivery fees are generally non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
